eCommerceMVCCore Documentation

eCommerceMVCCore

A .NET 10 port of eCommerceMVC — an ASP.NET Core MVC e-commerce platform with a public storefront, an admin dashboard, and a JWT-secured JSON API for mobile clients.

Try it live

ecommercemvc.azurewebsites.net — a free-tier Azure deployment seeded with the same demo catalog described in Demo Data. It runs on Azure App Service's Free tier, so the first request after a period of inactivity may take a few extra seconds to wake up.

What this documentation covers

Everything you need to configure, set up, and run your own instance: build/run instructions, the full site-configuration reference, the API surface, and step-by-step walkthroughs (with real screenshots) of every storefront and admin-dashboard flow.

Tech stack

  • ASP.NET Core 10 MVC (Razor views, three areas: storefront, Dashboard, API)
  • Entity Framework Core 10 — code-first migrations, lazy-loading proxies, pluggable database provider (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite — see Database Providers)
  • ASP.NET Core Identity — cookie authentication for the storefront/dashboard, JWT bearer for the API
  • LigerShark.WebOptimizer for CSS/JS bundling
