Configurations

Every key in the Configurations table, grouped exactly as the Dashboard’s type filter groups them, with the value each key seeds with. Edit any of these from Dashboard → Configurations — see the UI walkthrough for how.

Backed by ConfigurationsHelper

Every key below is exposed as a typed static property on eCommerce.Shared.Helpers.ConfigurationsHelper (e.g. ConfigurationsHelper.ApplicationName), read from an in-memory dictionary that’s loaded from the database at startup and refreshed whenever a value is saved — no app restart needed after editing a configuration.

Sliders Configurations

Slider1, Slider2, Slider3 each hold a single string encoding an image, heading, paragraph, and link, delimited with literal markers:

#IMG#site/sliders/slider1.jpg#TH#Welcome to eCommerce MVC#PG#<summary text>#LK#/en/search
SegmentMeaning
#IMG#...#TH#Image path, relative to wwwroot/content/images/
#TH#...#PG#Heading text
#PG#...#LK#Paragraph/summary text
#LK#... (to end)Link the slide points to when clicked

All three ship with the same heading/paragraph pointing at three different slider images and the same /en/search link — edit each slider independently from the Dashboard’s edit form, which parses/rebuilds this format for you rather than requiring you to hand-edit the delimited string.

No “Promotions” category configured out of the box

The Dashboard’s configuration-type filter also offers a “Promotions” category, but no seeded keys currently use it — promo codes (discounts customers apply at checkout) are a separate feature entirely, managed from Dashboard → Promos. See Orders & Promo Codes.
